Life threw another hard ball and during the next several years Janelle took care of several elderly family members while dipping her toes back into health and fitness by starting a fitness training company and earning her Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) from The Coaches Training Institute.

Janelle spent several years running her fitness and coaching business and in 2009 decided to step into the position of Executive Director of her local Chamber of Commerce. This position exposed her to the wide world of marketing and lit the fire to help others build and grow successful businesses. A work-related injury forced her out of her job but didn't dim the fire.

​Since then, Janelle has been using her experience and training to help other small businesses to see their potential and reach their goals. 

Beyond digital marketing, Karter has a history of process improvement and team training from roles in hospitality and human resources.

This diverse background equips Karter with exceptional organizational skills, adaptability, and a knack for building systems that run smoothly.

Fueled by a love for design and a passion for empowering small businesses, Karter is dedicated to helping Genie Automation clients connect with their audiences, enhance their online presence, and grow their brands.

When not crafting stunning designs or optimizing websites, you’ll likely find Karter experimenting with new coding projects or creating a game or mobile application.
